NEWS RELEASE:

At approximately 2200 hours on Friday, December 1st, 2000, Michael Starliper, 21 YOA, 7482 Dusty Road, Mercersburg, PA was arrested by the Chambersburg Police Department, on two outstanding warrants from the Franklin County Drug Task Force. Starliper was charged with two counts of Unlawful Delivery of A Controlled Substance on 11/15/2000 by the Franklin County Drug Task Force after incidents that occurred on 1/19/2000 and 4/19/2000, in Antrim and Montgomery Townships, respectively. Starliper was arrested without incident in the 900 block of Wayne Avenue.

On 1/19/2000, an undercover police officer from the Franklin County Drug Task Force purchased marijuana from Starliper in the 1200 block of South Antrim Way, in Antrim Township, PA . 

On 4/19/2000, an undercover police officer from the Franklin County Drug Task Force purchased marijuana from Starliper in the 7000 block of Dusty Road, in Montgomery Township, PA.

Starliper was arraigned before District Justice Memminger and committed to Franklin County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail. Starliper's preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 0900 hours on 12/08/2000 before District Justice Hawbaker, in Mercersburg, PA.

The Franklin County Drug Task Force was assisted by the Washington Township and Greencastle Borough Police Departments during this investigation.
